Singer Ricardo Montaner is conducting his ‘El Último Regreso’ world tour, which has seen significant commercial success across Latin America and the United States. In late August 2026, Montaner announced that his September concert at Altos de Chavón in the Dominican Republic had sold out. On September 26, 2026, Montaner performed the sold-out show at the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater, featuring hits such as ‘La Cima del Cielo’, ‘Déjame llorar’, and ‘El poder de tu amor’. During the two-hour performance, which included 27 songs, he acknowledged his deep ties to the country, stating that he feels like a local when performing there. He also shared personal moments regarding his faith, noting that he engaged in prayer before taking the stage. Additionally, he dedicated the song ‘La gloria de Dios’ to victims of earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia. Due to the success of the Altos de Chavón performance, Montaner revealed plans to return to the Dominican Republic in early 2027. Produced by ED Live, an additional concert has been scheduled for April 17, 2027, at the Arena Santo Domingo. ~~This upcoming performance aims to bring large-scale international production to the region and will feature a repertoire spanning his four-decade career.~~ By late September 2026, the tour also concluded its United States leg with two performances at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot. During these shows, Montaner included a humanitarian element by displaying a QR code to facilitate donations for communities affected by recent earthquakes in Colombia and Venezuela. Following these events, Montaner announced a Mexican leg of the tour for November 2026, with dates including Mexico City, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, and Monterrey. He clarified that the tour title, ‘El Último Regreso’, refers to a romantic ballad rather than a retirement from music. He also noted he is working on an album titled ‘Desde México’ and plans to release a new song, ‘Clases de amor’, in January 2027.
