Following the death of singer Rick Sollo in a helicopter accident in the Santa Catarina mountains on September 21, his musical partner Renner announced a new project titled ‘Rick & Renner pra Sempre: O Legado’ (Rick & Renner Forever: The Legacy). The project is intended to honor their four-decade partnership by performing their classic repertoire. The accident, which also claimed the lives of businessman Bruno Avelar, videomaker Paulo Soares, and the flight crew (pilot Antônio Roberto Nóbrega de Araújo and co-pilot Leopoldo Barros Teixeira), is currently under investigation. The announcement of the legacy project was supported by Rick’s widow, Geralda Helena, with business management remaining under Marcos Nascimento, who has worked with the duo for 36 years. Renner has scheduled his first solo performance for December 5 in Araçatuba, São ~~Paulo.~~ Paulo, at Viveri Eventi. This date was chosen to coincide with what would have been Rick’s 60th birthday. ~~The event, which was originally planned as part of~~ Tickets for the ~~duo’s 40th-anniversary tour, will serve as a tribute. Organizers~~ event start at R$ 50, and organizers confirmed that tickets previously purchased for the duo’s original tour will remain valid for this solo presentation. In addition to the December tribute, Renner has announced a return to the music scene during the last week of October. This comeback will consist of a closed recording for the audiovisual project ‘Piunti Sessions’ in Paulínia, São Paulo. The duo had previously participated in these sessions in August 2026, performing covers of classics such as ‘Porta do Mundo’ and ‘O Caçador’, which remain available on streaming platforms.
