Ring of Honor championship changes
Overview
At the Ring of Honor ‘Death Before Dishonor’ event in Philadelphia, several championship changes occurred. The trio Lethal Twist, comprising Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson, defeated Dalton Castle and The Outrunners to become the new ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions, ending a 97-day reign.
In the singles division, Action Andretti won the ROH World Television Title by defeating Lio Rush in a ‘Fight Without Honor’ match. The match ended after interference from the group known as ‘The Opps’, including an appearance by HOOK, and assistance from Anthony Bowens. This victory ended Rush’s 72-day title reign. Following the match, Rush participated in a segment involving a black box and a black heart, during which a black substance appeared to emerge from his mouth.
Other champions, including Bandido, Athena, Red Velvet, Deonna Purrazzo, Lee Moriarty, and El Sky Team, successfully defended their respective titles.
