In early July 2026 activity on the XRP Ledger surged as RLUSD’s on‑chain presence grew to roughly half of its total supply and its share of on‑chain trading rose to about 12 %. The RLUSD/XRP pair moved roughly $900 million in the preceding six months, boosting XRP settlement and market liquidity. On 23 July Ripple launched Ripple Mint, a web‑based console and API suite that lets regulated institutions mint, redeem, bridge and monitor RLUSD across the XRP Ledger, Ethereum, XRPL EVM, Base, Optimism, Ink and Unichain. The platform embeds Notabene’s compliance network for travel‑rule adherence. At launch RLUSD’s market cap hovered at $1.5‑$1.6 billion, holders rose ~6 %, active addresses ~70 %, while monthly transfer volume slipped to $10‑$11 billion. adherence and adds real‑time tracking, webhook notifications and automated workflows for fiat deposits, token issuance and on‑chain settlement. Later that month the stablecoin was listed on South Korea’s four largest exchanges—Coinone, Korbit, Upbit and Bithumb—creating KRW trading pairs and offering regulated access to both retail and institutional users. The token remains fully backed by cash, short‑term U.S. Treasury securities and money‑market instruments. On 3 August Ripple extended RLUSD into decentralized finance by enabling XRP holders to use the wrapped token FXRP as collateral in an RLUSD vault on Ethereum’s Morpho lending protocol. The $280 million vault lets users borrow RLUSD without selling their XRP, linking the native token to Ethereum’s DeFi ecosystem and broadening RLUSD’s use cases beyond payments ecosystem. On 6 August Ripple minted an additional 811,026 RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, pushing the stablecoin’s circulating supply past the 50 % share of total stablecoin supply on the ledger and settlement. cementing it as the network’s largest stablecoin by volume. Since launch RLUSD has generated over $2.5 billion in trading volume.
