Portuguese singer Rita Redshoes ~~is releasing~~ has released her ~~new~~ seventh studio album, ‘Fala’, which ~~features~~ was officially released on September 25. The project serves as a tribute to female composers and songwriters within the Portuguese music scene, featuring ten original songs written ~~exclusively~~ by ~~female~~ artists ~~such as~~ including Márcia, Mafalda Veiga, Garota Não, Amélia Muge, ~~and~~ Cláudia ~~Pascoal.~~ Pascoal, Ana Bacalhau, Joana Espadinha, Minta, Marília Miranda Lopes, and Margarida Campelo, with collaboration from Ana Cláudia. The ~~project~~ album explores themes of motherhood, family, identity, freedom, and the exhaustion associated with ~~parenting, serving as a “space for dialogue and exchange” to provide~~ parenting. Redshoes has noted that while the songs are written through a ~~platform for~~ female ~~voices.~~ lens, they are not strictly confined to gender-specific issues. This work follows her 2012 show ‘The Other Women’, which honored international inspirations like Nina Simone and Joni Mitchell. To present the new work, Redshoes ~~is scheduled to perform~~ performed at Casa da Música in Porto on October ~~24 and~~ 24. She is also scheduled to perform at Teatro Maria Matos in Lisbon on October 28. During these performances, she ~~will play vocals, piano, electric and acoustic guitar, and percussion,~~ is accompanied by musicians Sérgio Mendes, Miguel Moreira, and Bernardo Pereira. The artist also continues her pedagogical work involving music centered on balanced nutrition.
