RKC Waalwijk has engaged in squad strengthening and competitive play in the Eerste Divisie. The club first secured the signing of 33-year-old winger Virgil Misidjan on a free transfer, a deal running until mid-2027 with an option for an additional season. Technical Director Bernard Schuiteman noted the signing was intended to add significant experience to the wing department. Following these personnel moves, the club achieved a significant on-field result, defeating MVV Maastricht 6-1 at the Mandemakers Stadion. Under manager Sander Duits, the team established a 3-0 halftime lead through goals from Jordy de Wijs, Faissal Al Mazyani, and Juan Castillo, before completing the dominant performance in the second half. Jordy de Wijs opened the scoring in the 13th minute following a corner from Jochem Nap, while Faissal Al Mazyani doubled the lead in the 29th minute. Juan Familia-Castillo added the third goal just before the break, allowing RKC Waalwijk to maintain offensive pressure throughout the second half to complete the rout. This victory highlighted a significant performance gap between the two sides during the fixture.
