By early October, infrastructure and security projects expanded across Brazil. In Mato Grosso, the Vigia Mais Agro program is increasing rural monitoring using high-resolution cameras and satellite internet to address theft and vandalism. Highway maintenance continues to impact traffic flow. On the BR-381 Fernão Dias highway, the lifting of a pedestrian bridge in Vargem was rescheduled due to weather conditions; the structure was previously involved in a fatal accident in August. On the BR-116, DNIT is conducting bridge repairs in Turuçu, while Arteris Planalto Sul anticipates high vehicle volumes for the upcoming holiday. In Mato Grosso, Nova Rota do Oeste is performing maintenance on the BR-163, BR-364, and BR-070, necessitating ‘Stop and Go’ operations. In mid-October, maintenance activities expanded in São Paulo. Between October 12 and 18, Ecovias Raposo Castello is conducting pavement recovery, signage renewal, and lighting maintenance on the Castello Branco, Raposo Tavares, and SP-029 highways. Works on the Castello Branco highway involve asphalt and concrete repairs, bridge joint maintenance, and guardrail repairs between km 13 and 54. Additionally, the SPVias concessionaire is performing structural inspections and signage revitalization on the Carvalho Pinto Bridge over the Paranapanema River on the João Mellão Highway (SP-255) near Avaré. These works are expected to continue through December 2026, utilizing a ‘Stop and Go’ system during weekdays from 9:00 to 18:00, which may cause traffic delays. Urban infrastructure projects are also progressing. A major viaduct on the Contorno Norte in Curitiba has opened to traffic to improve regional mobility. Other regional improvements include paving and LED lighting projects in Itaboraí and Vila Paranaguá, a new roundabout in Jardim Social, and a R$ 1.8 million paving project reaching Mansinha village in Rio Sono, Tocantins.
