Robbery investigations in Delhi

Overview

Delhi police have resolved multiple high-value robberies in the city.

In early August, authorities arrested three suspects within four hours of a robbery in the Nabi Karim area. The incident involved the theft of approximately 45,000 rupees from a man. Officers recovered the stolen cash and identified two of the assailants as “history shifters.”

Later in the month, police solved a daylight robbery in Ashok Vihar involving the theft of approximately 75 lakh rupees. Following raids across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab, eight suspects—including two minors—were arrested. Investigators recovered 51.52 lakh rupees in cash and three mobile phones. The investigation indicated the perpetrators had monitored the victim’s routine for a month, with a minor believed to be the mastermind.
