Work on the Sibiu-Pitești A1 motorway continues, with asphalt works progressing on the Cornetu–Tigveni segment and the Tigveni–Curtea de Argeș section nearing 97% completion. Preparatory works for the 1,780-meter Poiana Tunnel TBM installation have reached over 80% completion. However, the A1 Pitești-Sibiu motorway faces closures on the Cisnădie-Boița section from October 5 until December 19 to facilitate a future A1-A13 connection, with traffic diverted to DN7 and DN1. Significant progress persists on the A7 Moldova Motorway, where the Bacău–Pașcani section exceeds 60% completion. On the A3 Transylvania Motorway, the Suplacu de Barcău–Chiribiș section is nearing completion, with an expected opening on December 1, 2026. The A8 Unirii Motorway’s Târgu Mureș – Miercurea Nirajului sector is approximately 70% complete, aiming for a partial opening in early 2027. New developments for the A8 highway include efforts by the National Road Investment Company (CNIR) to facilitate site access for the Târgu Neamț (Moțca)-Târgu Frumos section. A priority 5.5-kilometer segment is being targeted to potentially link the A8 ‘Unirii’ Highway with the A7 ‘Moldova’ Highway within 12 months.
