For the 2026–2027 academic year, students in both countries are scheduled to begin their autumn break on Saturday, October 24, 2026. In Romania, the break lasts nine calendar days, concluding on November 1, with classes resuming on November 2. The Romanian academic calendar is organized into five modules separated by winter, spring, and Easter holidays. While spring break dates may vary by county, autumn break dates remain consistent nationwide. In Moldova, the autumn break also spans from October 24 to November 1, with students returning to classes on November 2. The Moldovan academic year is structured into two semesters, with the second semester set to begin on January 11, 2027. As of October 24, 2026, students in both nations have officially entered their autumn break. In Romania, this follows the completion of the first seven weeks of the school year. In Romania, the Ministry of Education has also established the 2027 National Evaluation calendar for 8th-grade graduates, with official exams scheduled for June 22–25, 2027. Scholarship distributions for the 2026–2027 period are set, with the first payments for September and October scheduled for November 20. Additionally, the 2027 calendar features 17 legal holidays, eight of which fall on weekends.
