In a separate address at the ‘Ferdinand I’ Military Technical Academy, President Dan highlighted a shift in national defense from a theoretical concern to a critical priority. He underscored the importance of heavy investment in military equipment and the necessity of technological innovation to maintain competitiveness in both economic and military spheres. During a military oath-taking ceremony for over 2,700 first-year students at the academy, Dan reiterated that national defense has transitioned into a critical priority following 80 years of perceived stability. He encouraged students to contribute to the development of future technologies that will define national security. Regarding diaspora engagement, President Dan and Prime Minister Niculescu emphasized the need to move beyond ceremonial meetings toward concrete projects with measurable objectives. Niculescu stated that the government must provide real answers regarding professional opportunities so that young Romanians are not forced to choose between their home country and the rest of the world.
