Romanian Superliga football season

The Romanian Superliga progressed through its early rounds in August 2026.

In early August, Dinamo București secured a 4-0 victory against FC Voluntari, moving into second place in the standings. During that match, Dinamo defender Martin Pascual required medical attention following a collision but was able to leave the pitch independently.

By the seventh round, the league saw significant developments. Petrolul Ploiești secured a 3-2 away victory against Universitatea Cluj at the Cluj Arena.
