RSC Anderlecht is nearing the finalization of a deal to sign Moroccan striker Tawfik Bentayeb from US Touarga. The transfer is expected to cost approximately €4 million plus bonuses, notably below his estimated €8 million market value. Bentayeb, a recent Moroccan national team call-up who scored 20 goals for Troyes in Ligue 2 last season, is expected to undergo a medical examination once a work permit is secured. His arrival is intended to bolster an attack that management identified as needing experienced reinforcements. Bentayeb’s selection of the number 21 jersey has intensified speculation regarding squad turnover. This choice directly impacts César Huerta, who currently holds the number and has been excluded from recent matchday squads; a return to Mexico is considered a plausible destination for him. Other players facing uncertainty include Nathan Saliba, who is attracting interest from Villarreal, and Mario Stroeykens, who is linked with Werder Bremen. Increased competition from Bentayeb, Danylo Sikan, and Mihajlo Cvetkovic has placed Adriano Bertaccini’s future in doubt. While coach Vitor Bruno previously expressed a desire to retain him, Bertaccini is now being linked with potential moves to Saint-Étienne, Norwich City, or Servette, as he sits lower in the attacking hierarchy. In an effort to further strengthen the squad, Anderlecht is reportedly targeting 24-year-old French-Moroccan midfielder Yassin Belkhdim from Angers. Furthering their midfield reinforcement efforts, Anderlecht has reached an agreement with SK Rapid Wien to sign 23-year-old Ivorian midfielder Romeo Amane for approximately €6 million. Additionally, the club has finalized the departure of Cedric Hatenboer to Sparta Rotterdam for approximately €1 million. Anderlecht continues to explore defensive reinforcements, including interest in Arnau Comas. Recent reports indicate the club is also targeting midfielder Bo Hegland from Djurgården as part of its ongoing squad restructuring. Recent activity highlights Anderlecht’s significant financial strength within the Belgian market.
