RTVE MasterChef Celebrity Legends launch

RTVE and Shine Iberia launched ‘MasterChef Celebrity Legends’, a new edition of the cooking competition featuring 15 contestants. The participants, including figures such as Manuel Díaz ‘El Cordobés’, Anabel Alonso, Paz Vega, Florentino Fernández, David Bustamante, and Mala Rodríguez, compete for a 75,000 euro prize to be donated to an NGO.

The program premiered on Monday, September 7, on La 1, judged by Pepe Rodríguez, Delicious Martha, and Jordi Cruz. In the debut episode, Juanjo Ballesta became the first contestant eliminated. Viewers have identified Marina Rivers, Mala Rodríguez, and Pocholo as early favorites.

In addition to culinary challenges, the season includes unique activities such as axe throwing, laser circuits, and a gastronomic version of Minesweeper.

At the FesTVal festival in Vitoria-Gasteiz, RTVE presented this tenth anniversary edition. RTVE Communication Director María Eizaguirre described the edition as the “main course of FesTVal,” while Shine Iberia CEO Macarena Rey highlighted the unique value of the participants. The full roster of 15 celebrities includes Bibiana Fernández, Edu Soto, Juan Betancourt, Santiago Segura, María Escoté, and Ruth Lorenzo. The judging panel for this milestone season includes Pepe Rodríguez, Jordi Cruz, and newcomer Marta.
