Rush’s “Fifty Something” reunion tour, featuring Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, drummer Anika Nilles, and keyboardist Loren Gold, is currently underway and scheduled to run through April 2027. The tour serves as a tribute to the late Neil Peart and includes a wide repertoire of the band's catalog. In Toronto, the band is conducting a residency at the Scotiabank Arena on August 7, 9, 11, and 13, which is being filmed for a potential concert movie. Geddy Lee noted that Toronto was a natural choice for a hometown residency to capture their extensive repertoire. Regarding the band's future, Lee and Lifeson have ruled out recording new music, stating they are focused on mastering their existing catalog and managing the rigors of the tour. The group is also in discussions for a potential residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Legacy celebrations continue with the documentary ‘Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple’ scheduled for its world premiere at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival, with screenings in September followed by a CBC broadcast. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has released the first trailer for the film, which features tributes from Lee and Lifeson, as well as drummers Chad Smith and Stewart Copeland. Additionally, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland will host ‘RUSH the Rock Hall’ from September 17-20, featuring exhibits and educational programming. Due to positive response and the band members' stamina, the tour has expanded. Rush has announced four additional arena dates for 2026 in Houston, Texas; St. Louis, Missouri; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The band noted these dates were added because they are “doing fine and having a blast” after initially scheduling more recovery time to adjust to the rigors of touring. Tickets for the new dates are scheduled to go on sale starting September 4, with presales beginning September 1.
