Russian military operations against Ukrainian maritime infrastructure, industrial sites, and logistics have intensified. Between August 27 and August 29, coordinated strikes utilizing drones, ballistic missiles, and high-precision air-launched weapons targeted several regions, including Odesa, Nikolayev, and Kyiv Oblast. On September 6, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported striking a Ukrainian commercial vessel in the Black Sea, claiming it was carrying military equipment from Western nations. This follows a pattern of targeting cargo ships and port infrastructure in Odesa, Pivdennyi, and Chornomorsk. On September 11, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed Russia would continue targeting vessels transporting military supplies, alleging that many commercial ships are used to move weapons, ammunition, and fuel to Ukrainian forces. In a massive overnight assault on September 10, Russia deployed approximately 129 drones and various missiles, including Iskander-M, Kalibr, and Kh-59/69 systems. A missile strike in Odesa hit a residential building, causing between 16 and 37 injuries, including a five-month-old infant. In Zaporizhzhia, drone attacks on residential areas killed two people and struck the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant. In Kryvyi Rih, a missile hit an industrial facility, causing at least one death, while a strike on a shopping center in Pavlohrad reportedly killed five people and injured 67. Ukraine responded with drone strikes against Russian territory, including a synthetic rubber production facility in Togliatti. By September 12, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported strikes targeting metallurgical plants in Zaporizhzhia, Dnepropetrovsk, and Kryvyi Rih, as well as a logistics warehouse in Gostomel. Additional strikes hit the Zaporizhstal steel plant, the Interpipe Steel complex in Dnipro, and two cargo ships at the port of Chornomorsk. Russia claimed these strikes targeted infrastructure used to support military operations and the movement of foreign munitions.
