The municipality of Sabaudia inaugurated the summer programme “Sabaudia Incontra – Dialoghi in Corte” on 1 August 2026, with Mayor Alberto Mosca and Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi attending. The daily series, running through 21 August, was designed to boost the city’s cultural profile and complement its beach tourism, featuring panels on geopolitics, security, defence, migration, the economy and innovation. On 3 August, the fourth evening of the series was held at the Corte Comunale di Sabaudia. Minister for Public Administration Paolo Zangrillo opened the session, focusing on reforms, technological innovation and organisational change in Italy’s public administration. A ~~subsequent~~ defence and security panel examined new global threats and Italy’s strategic role, with participants from the defence ministry, the Carabinieri, Leonardo’s Space Division, Netgroup, Rheinmetall Italia, Adnkronos and the European Parliament. The event was streamed live on multiple social platforms. During the same evening, the Radical Party, represented by Irene Testa, used the platform to urge the Senate to complete legislation on judicial errors and to establish a national “Enzo Tortora” day honoring victims of wrongful convictions. The party also highlighted related proposals on agriculture, cinema and EU‑level veto reforms, linking them to broader Senate deliberations, including a defence cooperation agreement with Kuwait.
