Construction at the Sagrada Família in Barcelona remains active, has reached a major milestone with recent observations noting work on the Nativity Facade and various towers. Preparations in completion of the surrounding area may be linked to Tower of Jesus Christ. This achievement brings the upcoming centenary basilica to a height of 172.5 metres, making it the world’s tallest church and surpassing Germany’s Ulm Minster. The project has integrated Antoni Gaudí’s death 19th-century geometric designs with modern engineering, utilizing modular building systems, steel reinforcement, and the completion 24 tonnes of structural adhesive. Local residents and affected associations have expressed significant concern regarding the impact on their homes, describing the situation as “Kafkaesque.”
