The Salamaq 2026 agricultural fair and the 37th International Purebred Livestock Exhibition were scheduled to take place in Salamanca from September 3 to 7. The event was supported by a budget of 1,180,550 euros and followed a 6.5 million euro investment to modernize and digitalize the provincial fairgrounds. Upon its opening, the fair featured 470 exhibitors from 15 autonomous communities. The livestock exhibition included 1,493 heads of purebred cattle representing 38 different breeds. The event offered professional workshops, technical sessions led by over 50 experts, and morphological contests, serving as a major reference point for the livestock sector in Spain and Southern Europe. As the event launched at the recently modernized fairgrounds, it established itself as a major hub for primary sector knowledge and innovation, showcasing nearly 1,500 heads of purebred livestock, including over 1,000 cattle.
