The sale of Angelina Jolie’s historic Los Feliz mansion in Los Angeles has been finalized. In late August, reports indicated that singer Madonna had expressed interest in the estate, which was listed for $29.85 million. Due to Madonna’s absence from Los Angeles, real estate brokers coordinated virtual tours of the property, a historic residence formerly owned by Cecil B. DeMille. By late September, the 11,000-square-foot estate was sold for approximately $24.75 million, roughly $5 million below the initial asking price. Having originally purchased the six-bedroom, ten-bathroom property in 2017 for $24.5 million following her separation from Brad Pitt, Jolie realized a modest profit. The estate includes a Beaux-Arts main residence, a guest house, a studio, a tea house, and a fitness center with views of the Hollywood Hills. The sale aligns with Jolie’s long-stated intention to relocate from the United States once her youngest children reached adulthood, a milestone reached in July when her twins turned 18. Jolie reportedly plans to spend more time in Cambodia to manage a 39-hectare private property and continue environmental conservation efforts through the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation. Her work in the Battambang province involves protecting over 40,000 hectares of tropical forest and supporting local communities via health and education initiatives. She has expressed a desire to lead a more nomadic lifestyle, traveling to visit her children and engage in international projects.
