Salernitana and Casarano Serie C matchup

Overview

Salernitana is preparing for a Serie C, Girone C match against Casarano at the Giuseppe Capozza stadium. The game is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026, and will be broadcast live on Rai 2.

Following a comeback victory against Bari, Salernitana manager Serse Cosmi has been evaluating various tactical formations, such as 4-4-2 and 3-5-2, though a 3-4-1-2 formation was previously expected. However, as the match approaches, Cosmi intends to maintain tactical stability by utilizing a 3-5-2 formation in an attempt to secure the team’s first away victory of the season.

The squad faces availability issues, as Ismail Achik, Malik Djibril, and Jonas Heinz are sidelined due to physical therapy or individual training needs.

Casarano enters the matchup with 10 points but has struggled recently, failing to score in their last two games against Monopoli and Sorrento. The Casarano roster includes several former Salernitana players, such as Emmanuele Matino and Borna Knezovic.

The match is part of a wider ninth round of Serie C fixtures, which includes Bari vs. Giugliano and Potenza defending their lead against Foggia.
