Salernitana secured their first victory of the season with a 4-2 win over Potenza. Following the match, coach Serse Cosmi praised the team’s aggression and character. To address rumors regarding the club’s stability, CEO Umberto Pagano held a press conference to deny claims of liquidation or downsizing, asserting that the budget remains at 15 million euros. Following this momentum, Cosmi expressed confidence in the team’s ability to compete for top positions, emphasizing the importance of fan support in Salerno. The coach noted the team is building momentum and identified upcoming matches against Giugliano and Crotone as key challenges for the squad. However, the momentum shifted following a defeat against Crotone. Manager Serse Cosmi expressed disappointment regarding the team’s lack of rhythm, intensity, and defensive stability during that match. The club has since resumed training with a focus on improving tactical approaches and physical performance in preparation for a high-stakes fixture against Bari.
