Authorities conducted Operation Repatriação, a joint effort between the Civil Police of Bahia and São Paulo, to apprehend a 38-year-old criminal leader in Praia Grande, São Paulo. The suspect, identified as Edmilson Rosas Lima, was Lima—also known by the aliases ‘Mago’ or ‘Buga’—was found in a high-end apartment. Lima, identified as the leader of the ‘Bonde do Maluco’ (BDM) faction and responsible for illegal activities in the Arenoso neighborhood of Salvador, Bahia, faced outstanding warrants related to organized crime, drug trafficking, and homicide. He was caught using false documentation. During the operation, police seized mobile phones and a BMW X3 valued at over half a million reais. The mission was supported by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security through intelligence sharing between Bahia’s DENARC and São Paulo’s DEIC.
