Sambenedettese manager Roberto Boscaglia initially faced scrutiny following a poor start to the Serie C season, having secured only one point in five matches. Despite Boscaglia stating he had not resigned and remained committed to the team, club management reportedly evaluated potential replacements, including Roberto Stellone. Following a 2-1 defeat against Campobasso that left the club without a victory in seven matches, Sambenedettese dismissed Boscaglia and assistant coach Costanzo. The decision occurred amid tension and protests from supporters. Following a 1-2 home defeat against Campobasso, which left the team at the bottom of the standings with only two points from seven matches and no victories, the club officially appointed Filippo D’Alesio as head coach. D’Alesio is a returning figure for the club, having previously managed the team during the 2025-26 season. He is scheduled to hold a press conference on October 2, 2026, ahead of the upcoming match against Grosseto.
