Samsung and Turkish carriers 5G expansion
Overview
Samsung has entered into strategic partnerships with major Turkish telecommunications providers to accelerate 5G technology adoption in the country.
In early October, Vodafone and Samsung expanded their collaboration to increase consumer access to 5G-compatible devices, such as the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G, through installment plans and trade-in programs. This initiative reached over 60,000 customers within its first three months.
By late October, Turkcell and Samsung signed an agreement in South Korea to extend their partnership through the end of 2027. This deal aims to provide 650,000 5G-compatible Samsung smartphones to Turkcell customers, including 200,000 premium segment devices. To support the transition from 4G, Turkcell is launching a “Bring Your Old, Take Your New” program starting in November 2026.
