By the end of July, the company introduced a significant price cut for the newer Galaxy S25 Ultra in India, lowering the premium device’s cost by roughly ₹40,000 to appeal to price‑sensitive buyers. At the same time, Samsung’s Exynos system‑on‑chips increased their share of global smartphone chipset shipments to 8%, up from 5% a year earlier, driven by strong sales of the Galaxy S26 series that for the first time paired Qualcomm Snapdragon and Samsung Exynos processors. The price reduction and the rise in Exynos market share reflect Samsung’s strategy to remain competitive in a crowded smartphone market despite an overall decline in SoC shipments.

On 31 July, Samsung previewed the upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra, announcing a 5,700 mAh silicon‑carbon battery and a high‑end camera suite with a 200 MP main sensor. The flagship will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro in the United States, Canada and Mexico, while the Exynos 2700 will power units in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and Africa, continuing the regional chipset‑mix approach first seen with the S26 series. These specifications underscore Samsung’s ongoing focus on differentiating its premium devices through battery innovation, camera upgrades and a dual‑chipset strategy across markets.
