Samsung has announced a series of initiatives focused on its gaming ecosystem, centered around its upcoming presence at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany. The company intends to showcase an integrated hardware lineup under the slogan “#PlaySamsung,” featuring the Odyssey G8 6K gaming monitor, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and the 9100 PRO SSD. Expanding on its hardware strategy, Samsung has entered an official partnership with Activision Blizzard to optimize its devices for the upcoming title ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’. This collaboration involves technical integration for Odyssey monitors, TVs, soundbars, and Wi-Fi speakers, including the implementation of a 32:9 ‘Super Ultrawide’ aspect ratio and ‘HDR10+ Gaming’ technology to provide more accurate color and contrast. To support this launch, Samsung will host an experience zone at Gamescom 2026 and utilize its Samsung Gaming Hub for live streaming events, including the ‘Call of Duty: NEXT’ event on August 21. The company also intends to distribute beta testing codes to select users. The game is scheduled for official release on October 23, 2026.
