San Marino Futsal Championship season

Overview

The San Marino Futsal Championship commenced its new season with a revised format where only the top eight teams qualify directly for the playoffs. The opening round featured matches including defending champions Murata against Folgore.

Following the initial matches, Pennarossa, La Fiorita, Faetano, and Murata secured victories and were seeking consecutive wins. Pennarossa, coming off a seven-goal performance against Domagnano, prepared to face Tre Fiori, while Cailungo and Juvenes Dogana attempted to recover from heavy opening-round losses.

In the second round, La Fiorita secured a dominant 8-1 victory over Faetano at the Acquaviva court. Elia Pasqualini opened the scoring with a penalty, followed by multiple goals from Simone Chezzi and Pellegrini. La Fiorita added five more goals in the second half, including strikes from Zafferani and a second brace from Pellegrini. Simone Fortunati scored the lone goal for Faetano, marking the team’s first defeat after an initial win. This result allowed La Fiorita to maintain a perfect record alongside Pennarossa and Murata.

By the fifth round, the league standings shifted significantly. Tre Fiori ended Murata’s unbeaten streak, which had lasted since February 2024, with a 5-0 victory driven by an Oddone hat-trick and two goals from Bernardi. This loss dropped Murata to third place. Pennarossa remains the sole leader with a perfect record following a 12-3 win against Fiorentino, featuring a hat-trick from Busignani. La Fiorita moved into second place after an 8-1 win over Cailungo. Additionally, Virtus and Juvenes Dogana played to a 1-1 draw, leaving both teams at five points alongside Tre Fiori.
