In July 2026 Sanrio debuted two capsule‑toy accessory lines – Float‑Ring Keychains and Cute Glowing Mascot Lights – sold through vending‑machine corners and tied to the 2026 Sanrio Character Awards. That same month the company rolled out apparel and accessory collaborations. A limited‑edition collection with United Arrows’ ROKU line featured six characters (Hello Kitty, Tuxedo Sam, Hangyodon, Bad Badtz‑Maru, Pompompurin, Keroppi) and included tote bags, eco‑bags, key‑holders, drawstring pouches, mirror cases, bandanas and an online‑only T‑shirt. A separate Kuromi‑themed line with SNIDEL HOME offered a T‑shirt / shorts set, lace‑ribbon plush charm, knit parka and plush‑style shoulder bag. Sanrio’s summer push continued with a nationwide FamilyMart × maker‑mascot campaign (4‑31 August 2026). Shoppers purchasing two qualifying items received acrylic charms pairing Sanrio figures with food‑brand mascots; a second wave of charms launched on 18 August, and a stamp‑collection prize draw ran via the Famipay app. Hospitality partner Hotel New Otani Osaka hosted a Cinnamoroll Collaboration Sweets Buffet (1 July‑31 August 2026), offering eight themed desserts and a full‑course menu. In early August 2026 Sanrio added a new apparel collaboration with FREAK'S STORE, presenting adult‑friendly Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll and other characters on comic‑style T‑shirts, face‑covering charms and accessories priced around ¥5,995, sold nationwide in store and online. These activities underscore Sanrio’s strategy of pairing character licensing with retail, food and beverage venues venues, and expanding fashion offerings throughout 2026‑27.
