Santa Fe Klan police shooting claim

Overview

In early August 2026, Mexican rapper Ángel Quesada, known as Santa Fe Klan, used social media to allege that municipal police officers in Guanajuato opened fire on members of his family outside his store in the Santa Fe neighbourhood. He said the officers also tried to enter his home and that he possessed video footage, license‑plate numbers and patrol identifiers to identify the officers.

The rapper warned he would hold the authorities accountable for any harm to him, his relatives or his businesses. Neither the municipal government nor state authorities issued a response or confirmed an investigation. By August 3, the original post had been removed, but the accusations and the lack of official comment remained unchanged.

The incident sparked public attention, with the rapper appearing at local events such as the Feria de Silao and the Cueva celebration, accompanied by his girlfriend and security team, while the police shooting allegation continued to dominate media coverage.
