Sara Baras ‘Infinita’ performance tour
Overview
Flamenco dancer Sara Baras is performing her 20th career production, ‘Infinita’, at various Spanish venues. The concept piece explores cultural origins and the provinces of Andalusia through eight female characters, each representing a province to symbolize the region’s diversity and heartbeat.
Following a highly acclaimed reception at the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, the production includes a voice-over narration by Antonio Banderas. Baras, who has managed her own private company for 28 years and performed 5,000 shows, stated that the performance aims to capture the depth of Andalusia with elegance while “avoiding clichés”.
Scheduled performances include the Teatro Circo de Albacete on September 26, 2026, and the Gran Teatro de Elche on October 8, 2026, to mark the theater’s 30th anniversary as a municipal public space. Additionally, Baras is set to perform a single show at the Liceu to open the first edition of ‘Nit per sentir’.
