Sassuolo Calcio and Milan football match preparations

Overview

Sassuolo Calcio announced a two-phase ticketing schedule for their upcoming Serie A match against Milan at the Mapei Stadium. The process included a pre-sale period for season subscribers followed by general public sales. By October 6, it was reported that the away section (Tribuna Nord) for the match had completely sold out.

As the October 11 match approaches, AC Milan enters the fixture with an unbeaten record in its first five league matches, currently holding 5th place under manager Ruben Amorim. Sassuolo sits in 10th position; while the club has shown offensive progress with nine goals scored, they have struggled defensively, failing to record a clean sheet in their last six matches.

Preparation for the Sassuolo fixture is complicated by limited training time following the international break. In pre-match press conferences, Amorim emphasized the need to accelerate following the hiatus, noting that while the break allowed some players to rest, others faced heavy international schedules. Tactical reports suggest Amorim may shift from a 3-4-2-1 formation to a 4-2-3-1. Expected changes include Davide Bartesaghi potentially starting at left-back in place of Pervis Estupiñán, and Diego Moreira replacing the unavailable Alexis Saelemaekers in the attacking lineup. Players such as Hutchinson and Ramos have been integrated into training.

Sassuolo is coached by Alberto Aquilani, who expressed respect for Amorim and reflected on his own history with Milan. The match will be officiated by Francesco Fourneau, who holds an unbeaten record in his seven previous appearances involving Milan. Following the Sassuolo match, Milan faces a demanding schedule through the end of October, including fixtures against RB Salzburg, Atalanta, Udinese, and Inter.
