In early September 2026, Al Nassr won the Saudi Women’s Super Cup for the second consecutive year after a 4-1 victory against Al Hilal. Clara Luvanga scored a hat-trick during the final, which was notable for being the first time Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology was used in Saudi women’s football competitions. Later in the month, Al Hilal Ladies secured their first league win of the season in the Saudi Women’s League with a 9-0 victory over Al Ahli. The match featured several Nigerian internationals, including Asisat Oshoala, who contributed two goals and two assists to the win. By the third round of the Saudi Women’s Premier League, Al Qadsiah moved to the top of the standings following a 2-1 victory over Al Ittihad. The winning goals were provided by French player Lea Le Garic and Brazilian player Adriana da Silva. Al Hilal also secured a 6-0 victory against Al Taraji, bringing their total to 6 points and placing them second in the league. The scoring in that match included two goals from Asisat Oshoala, alongside goals from Christy Ochebe, Alice Kozi, Lin Mohammed, and Abeer Nasser. The league's growth and the recruitment of international talent are noted as reflections of the expansion of women’s sports in Saudi Arabia under Vision 2030.
