SC Preußen Münster participated in several football events during August and September 2026. In August, the club won the 13th Schnell Media Challenge Cup, a youth tournament. Despite heavy rain, lightning, and thunder that forced the cancellation of placement matches, the semifinals proceeded, and Münster secured the trophy with a 1-0 victory over FC Gievenbeck in the final. Later in August, during a home match against FC Ingolstadt 04, which coincided with the inauguration of a new fan stand, Münster played to a 1-1 draw. Ryan Johansson scored for the hosts in the 22nd minute, but Emre Gül equalized for Ingolstadt five minutes later. Following the match, coach Thomas Wörle noted the team required more composure and patience. In September, the club achieved a significant milestone in the 3. Liga by defeating TSV Havelse 2-1.
