Educational facilities in Palermo are undergoing structural repairs and renovations to address safety and modernization needs. In the Acqua dei Corsari district, the Casa del Fanciullo elementary school is scheduled to resume lessons following repairs to its roofs, which had previously rendered the building unsafe. During the repair period, students were relocated to the Castrogiovanni building, requiring double shifts. In the San Filippo Neri district, the Sciascia Comprehensive Institute’s nursery school in the ZEN district has reopened after an extraordinary maintenance project costing approximately 646,609.61 euros. Funded through the R.U.I.S. project, the renovations included seismic upgrades, energy efficiency improvements, the removal of architectural barriers, and the installation of new electrical, sanitary, and solar thermal systems.
