Seasonal fashion retail transitions in Central Europe

Retailers in Poland and the Czech Republic have transitioned from summer sales to autumn collections, moving from clearing summer inventory to introducing seasonal apparel and footwear.

As the seasonal shift progressed, retail focus moved toward specific autumn footwear and apparel trends. In Poland, brands like Gant and Reserved highlighted beige sneakers and sheepskin leather sneakers with minimalist designs. Streetwear styles, such as Adidas Adibreak loose-fit sweatpants and burgundy Grand Court sneakers, also featured in seasonal promotions.

Recent trends show a shift toward retro aesthetics and practical, earthy color palettes. Major brands including Adidas, Puma, and New Balance are introducing collections in tones such as beige, olive, deep navy, graphite, and forest green. New Balance is emphasizing slim silhouettes for an ‘old money’ style, while Adidas is adopting darker palettes to withstand rainy weather. Puma is focusing on suede textures in deep autumnal shades, and Gant is offering suede leather sneakers in chocolate and light brown tones as versatile alternatives to heavy boots.

For the 2026 season, footwear trends continue to emphasize retro aesthetics and robust textures. While slim-profile sneakers from brands like New Balance, Adidas, and Puma remain prominent, there is a growing trend toward heavy-duty boots. Specifically, biker boots featuring rivet and strap details, thicker soles, and varying shaft heights are expected to replace traditional Chelsea boots. Additionally, Birkenstock clogs have emerged as a comfortable, trend-potential option for cooler weather.
