Various seasonal food and beer festivals are scheduled across Japan for late 2026. In late August, announcements detailed Oktoberfest celebrations in Yokohama and Kofu. The Yokohama event, held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, features over 100 varieties of beer and live German music. The Kofu festival includes traditional German breweries and Alpine musical performances. By early September, additional seasonal offerings were announced. In Kobe, the Sorakuen Parlor is offering a limited-time Western-style lunch menu featuring items such as fried shrimp, hamburgers made with Awaji beef, and beef tendon croquettes, alongside autumn-themed sweets like a banana brûlée sundae. In Saitama, the Saitama Oktoberfest 2026 is scheduled for October 9 to October 18 at Kanezuka Park. The festival will feature German beers, including the Japanese debut of Einiger ‘Glücksbier’, alongside local craft selections from Hikawa Brewery and traditional cuisine such as sausages, steak, and pizza. In Osaka, the ‘Good BBQ Oktoberfest’ is set to take place over five days in October at Nagai Park and Hattori Ryokuchi. The event will run on October 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12, offering a combination of BBQ and traditional German food. A premium all-you-can-drink course featuring Weltenburger Hefeweiss and Anno 1050 German wheat beers is available via advance reservation for 5,300 yen, while general visitors can purchase individual items like sausages and pretzels. In Kichijoji, two concurrent beverage events are scheduled from October 9 to October 12, 2026. The ‘Kichijoji BEERandWALK’ allows participants to use a 3,300 yen ticket to visit shops in Harmonica Yokocho, Motomachi-dori & Penny Lane, and Coppice Kichijoji for beer and snacks. Simultaneously, Coppice Kichijoji will host an Oktoberfest at its GREENING Plaza, featuring German beers, traditional food, and live music by the German folk band ‘Alpina’.
