Seiko announced a collaboration with Tokyo-based Tradman’s Bonsai to release a limited-edition Presage mechanical watch inspired by the art of bonsai. The timepiece features a 38mm gold-colored stainless steel case and a green dial with a three-dimensional texture designed to evoke the bark and needles of a Japanese black pine tree. Technical specifications include the Calibre 6R51 automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve and water resistance up to 100 meters. While initial reports specified a release of 600 units in Japan, subsequent details indicated a worldwide production limit of 2,000 units, with shipping expected to begin in September 2026. Specific details for the Presage Classic Series x Tradman’s Bonsai (Ref. HCC009J1) highlight a green gradient dial in “matsuba-iro” green, a traditional color representing longevity and vitality. The watch utilizes a “no-date” configuration to maintain dial symmetry and features a gold-colored PVD-coated stainless steel case and bracelet. The model is also available with a replaceable black leather strap embossed with a pine bark pattern and is packaged in a traditional paulownia wood box. Pricing has been noted at 176,000 yen or approximately 1,400 euros.
