In New England, specifically Massachusetts and Rhode Island, a High Wind Watch is in effect for gusts potentially reaching 50 to 60 mph, raising concerns regarding power outages and tree damage. Some areas may receive rainfall totaling up to a month’s worth of precipitation. Marine warnings are active, with seas potentially reaching 26 feet in the roughest areas. In Maine, coastal areas may experience high surf with waves ranging from 10 to 30 feet. In Maryland, coastal flood warnings are in effect for the Chesapeake Bay and Ocean City areas.
