Septiembre Musical events in Argentina

The 66th edition of Septiembre Musical features various performances across Argentina. In Buenos Aires, the Estación Buenos Aires String Quartet is scheduled to perform at the Teatro San Martín on September 18, presenting a program that combines Argentine compositions, such as works by Claudia Montero, Julián Aguirre, and Emilio A. Napolitano, with Antonín Dvořák’s ‘String Quartet in F Major, Op. 96’.

Other scheduled events include a closing concert by the Orquesta Sinfónica Provincial in Santa Fe on September 18, which serves as the conclusion to an International Orchestral Conducting Seminar. Additionally, the ‘Música en los Museos’ cycle in Tucumán will host the Blend String Quartet at the Museo Histórico Nicolás Avellaneda on September 17, followed by an electronic music set by DJ LAIN.

In Tucumán, the festival is expanding through a decentralization policy led by the Ente Cultural de Tucumán. Upcoming events include performances in Tafí del Valle on September 19, featuring artists from El Mollar, Amaicha del Valle, and Colalao del Valle, and programming in El Naranjito on September 20, showcasing talent from Estación Aráoz, Tacanas, and Las Cejas.

A ‘Noche Andina’ is also being hosted at the Museo Folklórico, featuring an open folklore dance class, an artisan fair, and musical performances by Kimsa Juy, Diego Sosa, and the duo Vientos del Este. Kimsa Juy, winners of the Pre Cosquín 2025 instrumental category, will perform traditional Andean rhythms using instruments such as the siku, quena, and charango, while Diego Sosa will present ‘Órbita’, a performance centered on the charango.
