Serbia is undertaking various regional infrastructure and development projects. Initial efforts focused on Lučani, where a construction permit was issued for a new pedestrian bridge over the Bjelica river, and Prahovo, where a 45.5 million euro reconstruction of the Prahovo Port is underway to create a modern Danube port with a green terminal. A new bypass near Negotin was also approved to manage heavy cargo. Subsequent developments expanded the scope of national investments. In Novi Pazar, plans were announced for a major reconstruction of the General Hospital into a clinical center, with an investment exceeding 85 million euros expected by late 2027. Additionally, the government outlined plans for a new highway connecting Kraljevo, Raška, and Novi Pazar, with construction slated to begin by May 2027. Other social and local priorities include linking pension increases to salary growth and investing in schools and road paving. Recent updates confirm these timelines. During a visit to the Raška district, President Aleksandar Vučić stated that physical construction of the Kraljevo-Raška-Novi Pazar highway is scheduled to begin no later than May 1, 2027. He also reaffirmed that the Novi Pazar General Hospital reconstruction, intended to expand into a Clinical Center, is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. Regarding social reforms, Vučić noted that pension increases will be linked to salary growth to ensure they keep pace with economic changes.
