Reports from Romania detail separate legal actions involving the sexual assault of minors. In Comandău, a 40-year-old man was placed in preventive arrest for 30 days following accusations of continuous sexual assault against a 15-year-old girl. The Târgu Secuiesc Court issued the decision after prosecutors noted the suspect had been released from prison in July 2026 after serving time for a similar crime. The alleged incidents occurred between late July and August 2026. In a separate case, a 27-year-old man was apprehended in Bucharest for the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old in Argeș County. Authorities stated the man had evaded capture for approximately two years regarding incidents that reportedly occurred in January 2024. Following his arrest, the Costești Judiciary ordered the man to be investigated under judicial control for 60 days, which includes electronic monitoring. Additionally, in Brașov, a 31-year-old teacher remains employed while under investigation for alleged “inappropriate online communications with a minor.” Recent law enforcement reports confirm the arrest of the 27-year-old man in Bucharest, noting he had been evading investigation for two years regarding the sexual abuse of a minor in Argeș.
