Shayna Baszler TNA Wrestling debut and ~~signing~~ championship pursuit

Shayna Baszler is scheduled to make her TNA Wrestling debut at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view event in Tampa, where she will team with Zoey Serrano to challenge the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions, Allie and Kiera Hogan. Following the event on October 11, TNA Wrestling officially signed Baszler to a contract. Performing as part of the team ‘The Apex’ alongside Serrano, Baszler won the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship by defeating Allie and Kiera Hogan via a chokehold. TNA also announced other roster updates, including the addition of Shotzi Blackheart and Amazing Red, and the re-signing of Director of Authority Santino Marella. Baszler, a former WWE competitor with a background in mixed martial arts, joined the promotion following her 2025 release from WWE. During an interview regarding her move, Baszler shared an anecdote concerning Ronda Rousey, claiming Rousey once traveled to WWE headquarters to protest the reduction of match time for women’s competitors. Following their championship win, Zoey Serrano revealed the reunion with Baszler was unexpected and suggested by TNA Head of Creative Delirious. Serrano expressed a long-term goal to pursue singles competition to establish an individual identity. Serrano also reflected on her time in WWE, recounting a match against Baszler where she struggled to breathe while caught in a Kirifuda Clutch. Serrano claimed a referee relayed instructions from Triple H to continue during the struggle, though Baszler disputed any implication of malicious intent regarding the submission. Recently, Baszler announced her intention to challenge Indi Hartwell for the TNA Knockouts World Championship at Destination X, scheduled for November 15 at the Edmonton Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This challenge follows an incident on TNA Impact where Baszler’s tag team partner, Zoey Serrano, attacked ringside security.
