A private Bell 206 helicopter, operated by Bellavia Aviation Services, crashed on the Greek island of Sifnos on August 17, 2026, killing all three occupants: British newlyweds Alexander Cromie (31) and Marie Ebert (30), and pilot Giorgos Raikos (53). The accident occurred during the couple’s honeymoon while the aircraft was traveling from near Athens to Sifnos. Witnesses reported hearing a “strange sound” and observing unusual rotor behavior before the helicopter lost control and burst into flames near the village of ~~Exambela, specifically close to the Panayia tis Vrysis monastery.~~ Exambela.
