Singapore corporate H1 2026 financial results
Overview
Singapore-listed companies reported varied financial results for the first half of 2026 across several sectors.
In the industrial and maritime sectors, Sembcorp Industries experienced a 72 per cent drop in net profit due to acquisition costs, despite rising turnover. ST Engineering saw a decline in share prices following a drop in Q2 order wins, while Yangzijiang Maritime reported a 29 per cent decrease in net profit attributed to higher operating expenses and foreign exchange losses.
Real estate results remained mixed. Centurion Corporation reported a 64 per cent drop in net profit, falling to S$26.5 million from S$73.9 million the previous year, due to higher net fair value losses on investment properties and losses from associated companies. Conversely, UOL Group reported a 23 per cent increase in net profit to S$252.2 million, driven by joint venture property developments and fair value gains. Singapore Land Group saw a 90 per cent surge in net profit to S$211.7 million, bolstered by higher fair value gains. PropNex recorded a 3.1 per cent decrease in net profit to S$40.9 million, as rising agency commissions were offset by declining project marketing income.
Other corporate updates include Singapore Airlines reporting a 2.6 per cent year-on-year increase in group passenger traffic for July. Straits Trading Company narrowed its H1 net loss to S$11.1 million, while OUE reported a net loss of S$114.6 million, largely due to a S$47 million impairment loss. Additionally, Koh Brothers Eco Engineering disclosed legal disputes that could result in potential liabilities of up to S$57.6 million.
