July–August 2026 saw a packed Singapore cultural calendar around the 61st National Day. As the celebrations approached, major commercial entities including Grab, Shopee, and Singapore Airlines released advertisements centered on themes of resilience, growth, and multicultural harmony. The technology sector also highlighted the roles of local engineering and tech firms such as Nanofilm Technologies, ST Engineering, and Venture Corporation in driving innovation and the transition toward Industry 5.0, focusing on aerospace, smart nation technologies, and the synergy between humans and machines. The National Day Parade returned to the National Stadium on 9 August under the “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!” theme. Marking the 60th anniversary of the National Pledge, the event hosted approximately 42,000 spectators and featured designs by 36 artists with special needs. The parade included over 1,200 participants from 26 public contingents, including a contingent of persons with disabilities, and featured 36 artists and more than 2,600 performers. A first-ever indoor drone light display and an F-16 fly-past were paired with a fireworks finale launched from a floating platform in Kallang Basin. Following the parade, political leaders from opposing parties demonstrated a spirit of unity.
