Skoda has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of new SUV models. The company commenced mass production of the Peaq, a flagship seven-seater all-electric SUV, at its Mladá Boleslav plant in the Czech Republic. The Peaq features a 91 kWh battery with a range exceeding 640 kilometers and utilizes a flexible production line. Following this, Skoda introduced the Elroq RS, a high-performance variant of its electric C-SUV. Built on the MEB platform, the Elroq RS produces 340 HP and features the brand’s new ‘Modern Solid’ design language. This model offers a range of approximately 557 km and incorporates specific aesthetic updates such as vertical front lighting and aggressive bumpers. The RS trim includes 20-inch wheels and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. Further expanding the range, Skoda unveiled the Peaq, its largest electric SUV to date. Measuring approximately 4.9 meters in length, the seven-seater offers a trunk capacity of up to 2,075 liters and includes a 37-liter front trunk. A high-performance flagship variant, the Peaq 90X, features an all-wheel-drive dual-motor setup producing 220 kW (299 CV) and 545 Nm of torque. This 90X model utilizes an 86 kWh battery, providing an estimated range of 613 km. Recently, the Peaq model set a new range record for electric seven-seat SUVs. In a verified attempt overseen by TÜV SÜD, a production-specification Peaq 90 with an 86 kWh usable battery traveled 936 kilometers (581 miles) on a single charge from Mladá Boleslav through Germany to Zandvoort, Netherlands. Skoda has also launched the Epiq, an electric urban SUV manufactured at the Landaben plant in Navarra, Spain. Positioned as an affordable entry into the electric market, the Epiq utilizes the new MEB+ platform. Recent market developments indicate the Elroq has become the third best-selling electric car in Europe.
