The second and final season of the Sky Original series ‘Nord Sud Ovest Est – La leggendaria storia degli 883’ premiered on October 9, 2026, on Sky and NOW. Produced by Sky Studios and Groenlandia, the eight-episode season focuses on the Italian musical duo Max Pezzali and Mauro Repetto during their period of massive commercial success in 1993. The narrative tracks their journey from Pavia to the music and fashion hubs of Milan and eventually to America, following the release of their second album. As their fame grows, the series explores how their friendship is tested by differing personal ambitions and the pressures of sudden stardom, leading toward their eventual artistic separation. Director Sydney Sibilia noted that the production is not intended to be a “strictly philological biography,” but rather uses the duo’s journey to examine themes of friendship, nostalgia, and the fear of failure. The season also features appearances by the 1980s pop duo Righeira to draw parallels regarding the complexities of fame and creative divergence. The series depicts Righeira’s formation in the underground circuits of Turin and Bologna and their 1992 dissolution as a thematic precursor to the 883 story. The cast includes Elia Nuzzolo as Max Pezzali and Matteo Oscar Giuggioli as Mauro Repetto, with returning actors Davide Calgaro, Edoardo Ferrario, Roberto Zibetti, Ludovica Barbarito, and Riccardo Armiento, alongside new additions Gaia Zampighi and Rosa Barbolini.
