Later reports noted competitive pricing across the market. Philips Hue products saw significant discounts, including a bundle of smart bulbs and an LED Lightstrip Gradient. While Philips Hue systems utilize a Hue Bridge for integration with voice assistants and television synchronization, Govee was noted as a budget-friendly alternative offering smart LED bulbs that do not require a hub. Govee has since expanded its European lineup with AI-integrated products. The Sky Ceiling Light, priced at €399, utilizes the ‘AI Lighting Bot 2.0’ to allow users to generate lighting scenes via text and voice commands. This device features DaySync technology and a 478-nanometer sky-blue wavelength designed to support circadian rhythms. It also supports the Matter smart home standard and holds TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free operation. Additionally, Govee introduced the COB Strip Light 2 Pro in Europe for €179.99. This 5-meter LED strip uses Chip On Board technology to provide homogeneous light with RGBWWIC capabilities. Testing indicates the strip can produce smooth color gradients and respond to complex AI-driven commands, such as mimicking a natural horizon. At IFA 2026, Philips and its Signify-owned brand Philips Hue announced major ecosystem expansions. New hardware includes the Hue Play Screen Sync, a camera-based system using a fisheye lens to synchronize lights with TV sources without an HDMI connection, and the Liane 360 rope light.
