In Chihuahua, local leaders and government officials have initiated various social and health programs. Former DIF president Rubí Enríquez and Cruz Pérez Cuéllar led the ‘Sonrisas a Plenitud’ campaign to provide dental care and prosthetics to citizens in the state capital. Supported by the Rotary Club of Juárez, this oral health initiative aims to improve the quality of life for those in need. Following these efforts, the Chihuahua Ministry of Health launched the ‘Caravan for the Prevention of Suicide and Addictions.’ Announced by Javier González Herrera, director of the Chihuahuan Institute of Mental Health, the program aims to address rising suicide rates by providing mental health tools and addiction prevention workshops to adolescents in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and Parral. In addition to health initiatives, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, a Morena aspirant and former mayor of Ciudad Juárez, held an informative assembly in the Genaro Vázquez neighborhood. During the meeting, he called for unity to defend the ‘Cuarta Transformación’ and support President Claudia Sheinbaum, emphasizing the necessity of bridging the political divide between the Chihuahua state government and the federal administration.
